The latest data released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) show that Richard Huish College students achieve exceptional outcomes at university.
A higher percentage of Huish students receive a first class degree than those in the wider UK independent sector, other UK sixth form colleges, state schools and colleges.
Many students progress to university and studying A Level and vocational qualifications at Huish allows access to the world’s leading universities, giving students excellent preparation for success when they are there.
Huish EnRICH, an extensive enrichment programme, enables students to build on their personal development with dedicated time to support progression and employability, life skills, community and charity involvement and health and wellbeing. This means students leave Huish as well-rounded individuals who quickly settle into university life and can concentrate on their studies.
The college said it understood that applying for competitive universities could be challenging but expert advisors were on-hand to support students through the process by providing academic skills development sessions to help enhance critical thinking and refine presentation skills.
