Two Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) students are celebrating sporting success – Isaac Finch has signed a two-year scholarship with Bristol City and Jackson Hurley has been selected to represent the South West Divisional Under 18s Rugby team.
Isaac (pictured left) is a distinguished goalkeeper and said the college had been instrumental in allowing him to pursue both his education and his commitment to football: “Their support, top-notch coaching, and the unbeatable experiences, especially our FA Youth Cup run, have been the highlights of my journey.”
Jackson (pictured right) was initially selected for Somerset Under 18s, alongside four other college students – George Francis, Jacob Parker, Will Clapham and Reuben Lloyd. From the three games that they represented their county, the South West squad was then selected from the eight counties that make up the divisional side, ranging from Cornwall to Buckinghamshire.
Jackson has attended various training camps with the South West squad and was named as vice-captain for their first game against the North, played at Warwick University. With their second game against London and South East being played in Bristol at Cotham Park Rugby Club this coming weekend.
