Lawyers Clarke Willmott have been working with a Somerset care home group to support the NHS by putting in place arrangements in respect of a former care home to enable the local authority to use it as an intermediate care facility.
The deal is part of a county-wide drive to provide centres for medically well people ready for discharge from hospital but who still require ongoing care, in a move that eases demand on beds at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton and Yeovil District Hospital during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Clarke Willmott supported Camelot Care with a speedy turnaround of arrangements in relation to the 39-bed premises in Yeovil – a redundant former nursing home.
