New 700 square metre factory nears completion.
To meet an increasing demand for their products and services, Taunton Fabrications is currently building an additional 700 square metres of factory space at our Galmington premises in Taunton. The building will primarily house the company’s finishing and off-site pre-build activities but will also be used as an overflow facility for welding and fabrication. The construction of this 30 tonne structure – including design, civils, manufacture, erection and fit-out – is being managed completely in-house. The building includes two five tonne overhead cranes, a new paint spraying system, roof mounted solar panels and electric charging points.
Taunton Fabrications Managing Director, Jason Rigby commented; “The new facility will greatly increase our efficiencies and our plan is to have our new pre-build assembly and despatch area operational by September – ready to begin painting and assembling balconies and staircases for two large contracts we have in Bristol and Cardiff.”
