SS&L has announced it is the new owner of Yeovil-based Little Discoveries Childcare Ltd.
As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, (CIC), SS&L’s vision is to change lives through learning. The acquisition of Little Discoveries Nursery is an opportunity to provide the highest quality early years day care provision, whilst continuing to support childcare apprenticeships and trainees within the community they serve.
SS&L said it would endeavour to maintain the high standards and quality of care established by the previous owners of Little Discoveries and intend to make the transition as smooth as possible. Those families who attend Little Discoveries Childcare should notice very little change and it’s a case of business as usual, the nursery continuing to be managed by Naomi Bartin. SS&L will oversee the management of the nursery and provide strategic leadership.
Kathryn Baker, Deputy CEO of SS&L, said: “We have over five years’ experience in providing learning opportunities to adults across Somerset. We now want to extend the range of people we support so children and their families, too, can benefit from the services we provide. As an education and training provider specialising in childcare and early years, we want to share our expertise and resources to expand our provision in Somerset, in line with our core vision of changing lives through learning.”
