Ricki Critchell, Corporate Finance Manager at award-winning accountancy firm Milsted Langdon, has raised £1,300 for Breast Cancer Now after completing the Prudential RideLondon cycling challenge.
Ricki was one of 30,000 riders who took part in this year’s event, which started at the Olympic Park, Stratford, and saw participants ride through the capital and into the surrounding Surrey countryside before heading back to The Mall.
During her ride, she braved the wet, wild and windy weather to complete the 100-mile ride in aid of Breast Cancer Now – the UK’s largest breast cancer research charity.
Speaking about her latest achievement, Ricki said: “It was a real honour to complete this ride and support Breast Cancer Now. I wanted to raise money as a close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier in the year and has recently undergone surgery following four months of chemotherapy.
“The thought of me raising money for this cause, which will see my friend fighting fit again soon, helped me keep going until the end. I have to thank all of my colleagues, contacts and friends who helped me raise so much for this charity.”
Jonathan Langdon, Chairman at Milsted Langdon, said: “On behalf of everyone at the firm I would like to congratulate Ricki on completing this tough bike ride.
“She showed real determination to complete this event and should be praised for her fantastic fundraising for such a worthy cause.”
