Somerset Skills & Learning (SS&L) has been highlighted as having highly satisfied learners in Somerset, latest data from the Department for Education reveals.
The data, published on 18 July, shows that SS&L scored a satisfaction rating of 87.2% from its students who would recommend the training provider to friends and family. The research is based on students’ experience with the training provider over the course of the 2018/19 academic year.
Kathryn Baker, SS&L’s Director of Curriculum and Business Development, said: “We are delighted with the feedback from our learners. With a combination of small classes, local centres and experienced tutors we are able to offer something quite different to a college and it’s clear from this survey that our learners appreciate it.”
Somerset Skills & Learning compared favourably with other learning providers in the county, with Bridgwater & Taunton College scoring an 82.5% satisfaction rate and Yeovil College recording 77.4%.
The DfE Further Education Choices Survey is designed to help learners and employers make informed choices about education and training.
“As a county, it’s great to see learning and education providers putting students at the fore and it’s even more pleasing to see that a Community Interest Company is achieving outstanding levels of satisfaction for learners in Somerset,” she added.
