A local company is celebrating a very successful year, which has not only seen them expand their highly skilled workforce but also achieving their best year ever.
LIMAB UK, based in Wellington, is a leading distributor of non-contact laser and optical measuring systems for industrial applications. Their products and services are used by manufacturing companies to improve efficiency, reduce manufacturing costs and improve quality through measurement testing and process control.
This year LIMAB expanded their product range by signing a distribution agreement with LumaSense Technologies and appointed Jack Miller (pictured, right) to the team as Technical Sales Manager and product specialist for the LumaSense product range.
LumaSense Technologies is a worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of pyrometers, thermal imagers and black body calibration sources for non-contact temperature measurement.
Jack, who joins LIMAB with over seven years’ experience in customer service and machinery sales, which he developed at CME Ltd in Chard, said: “Since starting with LIMAB we have developed new business with companies in the aerospace, glass and furnace industries, which has contributed to record sales this year.”
Then in September, Suzanne Ketley (pictured, left) joined as the company’s new Marketing Assistant tasked with increasing awareness of the LIMAB brand and assisting the sales team with new lead generation.
Suzanne, who brings with her 13 years’ experience in marketing in a variety of industries, said: “I am delighted to be joining such a successful Somerset-based company and being able to assist them in their marketing efforts. After four years out of the workplace as a full-time mum, it has been great to get back into marketing and I am thoroughly enjoying my new role.”
LIMAB UK has a wide range of laser sensors and measuring systems for in-process measurement of thickness, width, profile and dimensions, used extensively in the steel, sawmills, building materials and other industries.
