Somerlap Forest Products have invested in the renewal of their large wood chipping machine to assist them in their objective of being as efficient and environmentally friendly as they can. By purchasing this machine, they will ensure they can maximise the recycling side of their pallet business, turning all scrap wood into valuable fuel.
Somerlap have offered a successful recycling pallet collection service for many years, with most of the pallets collected being repaired and resold. Those beyond repair are turned into woodchip, which can then be used as fuel. The new machine will increase the number and size of pallets which can be turned into this renewable energy, and will also be able to take larger items such as wooden crates.
