Skittlers wanted for record-breaking charity fundraiser

Charity Chamber member We Hear You will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the number of people playing skittles.

The world record attempt will take place on Sunday, September 5, outside Frome Library, during the Frome Independent Market.

We Hear You will be involved in a continuous eight-hour game of skittles between 9am – 5pm in an attempt to break the existing record. All potential players need to do to be a Guinness world record holder is book into a half hour time slot and throw three balls.

Skittlers only have to hit one skittle to be counted – this is a challenge of mass participation more than skill, although skittles pros are very welcome to keep the sticker uppers busy! Children of secondary age are also welcome to take part.

Gemma Wilkes, Fundraising and Communications Manager for WHY, said: “As always we are keen to make it easy for the whole community to take part and to raise some money for WHY, so please sign-up and make a donation if you can, https://register.enthuse.com/ps/event/WorldRecordSkittles.”
