Somerset Chamber members PC Comms have successfully achieved the Cyber Essentials Plus certification as part of their development and improvement.
The highest level of accreditation under the Cyber Essentials banner, reinforces their position as one of Somersets most trusted and well respected IT providers and is a huge benefit to their customers. The Plus qualification requires an internal audit of the company’s cyber security setup, which PC Comms passed with flying colours, as well as an internal vulnerability scan and on-site assessment of the IT infrastructure.
Harley Brown, Managing Director of PC Comms commented, “I’m extremely proud of the team at PC Comms. This is a brilliant recognition of all their hard work and dedication and we’re looking forward to supporting our customers with an even more robust offering to keep their IT infrastructure safe. I’d encourage any business to look into putting the basic Cyber Essentials accreditation in place which can prevent up to 80% of cyber attacks. When you consider the potential cost implications of a phishing or ransomware attack, a small investment in training staff across the business to recognise attacks and understand the implications is money well spent.”
