Local Chard-based company Workwear Pro Direct has launched its new e-commerce platform, www.workwearprodirect.com, to provide sole traders and small to medium sized businesses with an innovative website, developed by a local Somerset company, to source branded workwear and PPE.
Over the past year, the number of employees at Workwear Pro Direct has increased from just two to a team of twelve and it is expected that further jobs will be created in the Somerset/Dorset area as the business continues to scale-up its operations.
A spokesman for the company said Workwear Pro Direct wanted to stand out within a competitive marketplace and their fresh brand, intuitive website and product selection would allow them to achieve this.
The biggest addition to the new e-commerce platform is a new rewards programme, where customers can choose to enrol in the ‘Workwear Plus’ scheme which entitles them to special discounts and added benefits. For each purchase a customer makes, they’ll be rewarded with points which they can use to get a discount off their next purchase.
The company also offers a ‘Buy Back’ scheme, which is now an integral part of their group Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy. The company said the ground-breaking scheme was the first of its kind for the workwear industry and enabled customers to recycle their old workwear and uniforms in return for a cash incentive.
Meanwhile, Workwear Pro Direct’s ‘Gift Back’ scheme enables all customers to donate a percentage of their workwear purchases to a charity of their choice.
