With near-daily news of redundancies and companies calling in administrators, it’s a challenging time for both businesses and individuals. However, even in these difficult times, there are still small companies who are defying the odds and thriving, despite the obstacles being thrown at them.
Local self-storage company, the Container Team, has actually expanded their team this month. They have successfully recruited three new roles to support the company’s development, following the launch earlier this year of their sixth and most recent self-storage centre in Ashton, Bristol.
Launching a new site during a global pandemic might seem a little risky, to say the least, however it’s a gamble that’s paying off for the Weston-based company.
Owner and Managing Director, Hazel Edwards, said: “I did question whether we should go ahead with the launch, but we had spent a long time planning for it. People still need storage, and we’ve seen an increase in the number of tradespeople, in particular, who need a safe and secure space to store their tools and equipment.
“Team Refrigeration, which is the part of the company that provides mobile refrigeration, has been providing vital cold storage services for kitchens in care homes and NHS hospitals throughout the pandemic.
“The overall increase in business has left the team really stretched at times. We’re delighted to have been able to expand, offering new roles to Rachel, Tom and Reg.”
