PR and Marketing consultancy, Morledge & Co has been appointed to handle the PR and media relations for three leading events in the electric vehicle (EV) and climate change space on behalf of Green.TV Media.
Karen Morledge and her colleagues Catherine and Sarah have led on the public relations for World EV Day on September 9, an annual global campaign to drive the adoption of electric vehicles in business and for consumers.
The virtual movement was this year led by messaging from the White House and resulted in announcements from the UK Cabinet Office, Department of Transport and major leaders in the sustainable technology and automotive industries. The virtual event resulted in over £2.3 billion collective investment pledged by the UK Government and industry, alongside a competition for under 16’s to create the world’s first official EV emoji.
The team also managed the PR for the third annual EV Summit held at Saïd Business School in Oxford, held both online and in person during September and are currently working on media relations and PR for the Decarbonisation Summit, held in Glasgow in November as part of COP26, the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference.
Karen Morledge, Founder of Morledge & Co, said: “It was just incredible to be appointed by Green.TV to handle these three prestigious events. The campaigns and messaging to audiences on a global scale have been fascinating for us to work on as a team.”
Dean Prosser, Head of Digital Communications at Green.TV Media, added: “We appointed Morledge and Co. to help us with the three biggest events in our annual calendar, helping us secure press to attend the events and securing coverage has been invaluable for us.”
