Charities across the South West and the UK are benefitting from more than £30,000 of donations made by award-winning accountants Milsted Langdon following a year of fundraising to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Staff and Partners at the firm, which has offices in Bristol, Bath, Yeovil, Taunton and London, took part in various events to raise £1,000 for each year the firm has been in operation.
Fundraising took place on an almost daily basis at their offices, including dress down days, cake sales, raffles and parties, but the team also took part in tougher challenges to help reach their fundraising target.
Among those testing their limits were Forensic Partner, Roger Isaacs, who went potholing, Administrative Assistant, Jackie Berry, who cycled from London to Paris (pictured) and Carl Powell and Mike Bagg who had their heads shaved.
Staff also took part in the Taunton and Bristol half marathons, while those brave enough experienced skydiving for the first time.
Thanks to all their efforts, the practice managed to beat its fundraising target – raising £35,000 in total.
Charities to benefit from the firm’s fundraising include Lily Foundation, Cots for Tots, Musgrove Park Hospital, Dorothy House Hospice, Above and Beyond, Dorset Mental Health Forum and Feeding Bristol.
Jonathan Langdon, the firm’s Founding Partner and Chairman, said: “It has been fantastic to see our team take part in so many events for charity in the last year to help celebrate our 30th anniversary.
“A huge thanks has to go to our team who took time out to partake in so many activities. There was a lot of bravery shown and I think this is best demonstrated in the amount we have managed to raise, which has exceeded our own expectations.
“I am delighted that this celebration of our history will help so many worthy causes for many years to come.”
