Milsted Langdon has advised on the sale of Bristol-based waste brokers, Waste Source, to national market-leader Reconomy UK Limited.
Waste Source is an independent waste broker, providing scalable business waste services to retail, hospitality and construction sectors nationwide. The company was an ideal fit for Reconomy UK Limited’s expansion plans, adding to its breadth of capability and services.
Telford-based Reconomy is no stranger to acquisitions, supporting the group’s strategic growth in recent years, which saw total turnover exceed £330 million in 2019. Reconomy is owned by EMK Capital LLP, having been acquired in 2017.
The Milsted Langdon team was led by Susannah Adams (pictured) and Olly Pullin. They sourced the buyer, negotiated between parties, and led the transaction on the Sell Side to completion.
Waste Source Founder and Director, Christopher Holland, commented: “We’re extremely proud of the work we’ve achieved with Waste Source and I’m delighted that Reconomy is going to build on this.
“I would like to thank Susannah and Olly for their professional expertise, dedicated support and diligence, not to mention determination, to complete this deal, especially as it’s taken place during very challenging trading conditions.”
Commenting on the deal, Susannah Adams said: “It has been a pleasure to lead on this transaction and we’ve enjoyed working closely with both parties to achieve their goals and I wish them well for the future.”
