Ladies on target for Milsted Langdon outdoor activities networking event

A group of female business leaders took part in an afternoon of fun outdoor activities with accountancy firm Milsted Langdon after a poll found that they would rather shoot clay pigeons than enjoy an afternoon tea.

When it came to hosting its latest ladies networking event, Milsted Langdon put a range of activities to a vote for those who attended their previous ladies networking event.

Options included afternoon tea, cocktail making and a boat ride, but in an overwhelming result, guests preferred a day of clay pigeon shooting and archery, with axe throwing also a popular choice in the poll.

A group of 30 professionals from across the South West, mainly from banks and law firms, joined Milsted Langdon’s team for the activities hosted in Hambridge. Scores were kept throughout the day and those with the best accuracy were awarded trophies.

Carla Honeyford and Helen Vrettos from Lloyds Bank said: “Thank you so much for a really enjoyable day yesterday! The food and company were excellent and to top it all we both managed to hit a clay!”

Gill Freeman, General Practice Partner at Milsted Langdon, said: “We originally ran a poll asking the ladies to decide the theme for our next networking event. With a clear majority, the winning activity was clay pigeon shooting and more people wanted to try their hand at axe-throwing than a genteel afternoon tea.

“This was a fantastic way of getting to know other female professionals and it has certainly set us apart from others. We are delighted that so many people joined us and enjoyed themselves.”

Milsted Langdon regularly hosts networking sessions and seminars across the South West, to find out more about its upcoming events please visit www.milsted-langdon.co.uk/events/.
