As part of their continuing professional development, eight members of staff at King’s Hall School completed a two-month online course in ‘Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health’.
The qualification aims to increase the learner’s knowledge and awareness of mental health issues commonly associated with children and young people and highlights the support available to maintain pupil wellbeing.
The school said it was pleased to announce that all staff had passed with flying colours and were presented with their official certificates last week.
Head of Learning Strategies at King’s Hall, Antonia Cheeseman, said: “As a department, we now feel we have a greater understanding of children and young people’s mental health. This will help us to spot issues before they escalate, and therefore provide the appropriate care and support.”
