Kellaway Building Supplies relocates from Ashton to Bedminster

Kellaway Building Supplies has continued its year of investment and development in its branches by relocating its well-established branch at Ashton to a new larger site in Bedminster, less than a mile from the old branch. The new premises comprise of a larger yard, warehouse and shop, enabling Kellaway to provide a large stock range to its ever-increasing number of customers.

“The new site is significantly larger than the one it replaces,” said Sean Morgan, Operations & Commercial Director. “We’ve been able to provide our customers with a spacious, airy shop which benefits from lots of natural light, and outside, we have provided dedicated parking for both our trade and DIY customers.”

The design and layout of the shop means that Kellaway is better able to deliver a customer experience to DIYers as well as tradesman; “We are keen to continue engaging with people who don’t traditionally feel comfortable using a builders’ merchant, but we understand the customer expectation is different and have designed the branch accordingly.”

The site will also support the Lockleaze branch with distribution to the rest of the branch network around the area; Mr Morgan goes on to say “As our number of branches increases, our requirements on distribution becomes ever more challenging. It is of critical importance that our branches have the stock on the ground to fulfil customers’ needs and the new Bedminster site provides us with opportunity to improve the speed and regularity of distribution.”

As the company grows at an ever-increasing speed, Kellaway know they need to be able to guarantee they continue to over deliver on customer expectations “We have ensured that we have space to grow [at Bedminster] and the ability to manage the businesses continued growth in both customer numbers and our branch network.”

Branch Manager Andy Davis commented “Both customers and staff are excited by this move; it enables us to provide an enjoyable customer experience as well as a significantly wider product range, the feedback we’ve had from customers so far has been very positive.”

The significant developments taking place at Kellaway means that they have several new roles available across a number of positions and branches, check out their website if you are interested in joining the team.

The new site will host an open day on the 27th September, which is free to attend to both trade & DIYers and will include plenty of great offers and discounts, free food and a chance to win some great prizes. Why not pop along and see the new branch for yourself?
