Hippychick, a multi-million turnover nursery goods business based in Bridgwater, is having quite a year.
Not only did the Hippychick team celebrate 20 years in business in October 2019, but they ended the month with a bang, quite literally on fireworks night, by winning the hotly-contested Progressive Preschool Best Distributor Awards.
Jeremy Minchin (pictured), Joint Managing Director of the business who accepted the award on Hippychick’s behalf at an event in London, was delighted to win: ‘This is a really special one for us as it’s voted for by nursery retailers themselves.
“It’s a challenging climate out there, so to be told by our customers that we’re doing a great job for them is immensely rewarding. It’s also a true testament to the amazing team we have here at Hippychick who have an unceasing commitment to the business.”
Jeremy added: “This latest development is just one in many for Hippychick in its twentieth year – our Deputy Warehouse Manager, Scott Bateman, made it through to the finals of the Somerset Business Awards and several of our products have been recognised with top industry awards, including our best-selling vintage steel balance bike by Trybike which won best pre-school toy in the annual Outdoor Toy Awards.”
