Bridgwater-based nursery equipment and infant gift/toy supplier Hippychick has had two products shortlisted in the highly prestigious, national Mother & Baby Awards.
Founder and Managing Director, Julia Minchin, said: “The Mother & Baby Awards are probably the toughest in the parenting business as well as the most meaningful for parents. Getting one product shortlisted is difficult enough, so having two is very exciting. It means we must be doing something right!”
First up was the Dena Deluxe Rainbow. Dena is made from a food grade, tactile silicone enabling a child to do literally anything with it – they can throw it, stack, it, bend it, flex it, dig with it, chew it and even cook with it. And with rainbows during the pandemic taking on such significance as a worldwide symbol of hope, the team was thrilled the product made the Mother & Baby Awards’ grade.
The second shortlisted toy was the Crocodile Balancing Game. As children add pieces to the upside-down crocodile, they have to ensure that he doesn’t lose his balance and roll over, thus honing their hand to eye co-ordination as well as balance skills. Children also love the toy’s highly visual nature with its bold, bright colours.
