Judges at this year’s Successful Women in Business Awards have announced Gill Freeman as the winner of the Professional Services category.
Gill, a General Practice Partner and Head of Charity and Not for Profit at award-winning accountancy firm, Milsted Langdon, was honoured at an awards night at the George Albert Hotel and Spa near Evershot, Dorset, for her commitment and dedication to her work.
In selecting Gill for the award, the judges considered her work as a specialist in advising charities and not-for-profit organisations and the services she provides to owner-managed businesses, as well as the support she provides to her colleagues at Milsted Langdon.
In particular, her award celebrates those women who have demonstrated fantastic customer service and supported their industry by championing the success of other women.
Gill said: “I am truly honoured to have received this title from the Successful Women in Business Awards and would like to thank the judges for selecting me from a list of very talented female professionals.
“Ever since I joined the profession, I have done my utmost to not only support clients but also highlight the contribution that women make to our profession, while also mentoring my fellow female professionals.”
Gill Donnell MBE, Founder of the Successful Women in Business Network and organiser of the awards, said: “The business world is full of hugely talented and successful women who not only run businesses, or work in demanding roles, but they often also juggle caring responsibilities at the same time.
“These awards recognise and celebrate the success of women and their positive impact on the wider community. Congratulations to Gill and Milsted Langdon on winning the Professional Services award.
“The standards were incredibly high and the judges were extremely impressed by Gill’s significant technical experience and outstanding service levels, as well as the fact that she goes above and beyond to champion and encourage women in her field of work – her clients, contacts and colleagues”.
