Wincanton Racecourse will be holding a family fun day on Sunday, April 19, featuring the thrill of the races, plus a raft of complementary free entertainment for children to make it the perfect spring day out.
There will be 250 free Easter eggs for the first children through the gate, while under-18s always race free when accompanied by a paying adult. Two pre-booked grandstand and paddock tickets will be just £30.
There will be seven races, which include the McCreery Military Amateur Riders’ Handicap Hurdle and the John Dufosee Memorial Open Hunters’ Chase.
In between, children will be able to switch from cheering home the horses, to tackling an obstacle course, to playing on the bouncy castle and ball pit, to taking part in a treasure hunt, hosted by Great British Racing.
Gates open at 11.30am, the first race is off at 1.45pm and there will be a free bus for locals from Wincanton too. The last race will be 5.15pm.
