Clarke Willmott runs vacation scheme for Law graduates at Taunton office

National Law firm Clarke Willmott recently held a week-long vacation scheme at their Taunton office for successful applicants.

Headed by Commercial & Private Client Litigation partner, Esther Woolford, 13 university students joined the office for a structured week of work experience, including 1:1 training and workshops, plus the opportunity to understand how a top 100 legal firm operates.

Each participant spent time within a specific area of practice, including Clinical Negligence, Private Capital, Litigation, Employment, Family, Corporate and Property.

On the final day of the scheme, participants were asked to give a presentation to partners and a staff in the Taunton office before enjoying informal drinks.

Esther Woolford, organiser of the scheme, said: “We have been very impressed by the calibre of candidates who applied for and participated in the scheme this year and would encourage them all to consider applying to pursue their legal careers with Clarke Willmott as vacancies arise. We hope to run a similar scheme in 2019 with details and timing to follow towards the end of this year.”

The law graduates who won places on the Clarke Willmott vacation scheme were: Hargeet Gahir, Aston University; Charlotte Higgs, University of Bristol; Helena Winsey, Durham University; Isobel Hinchliffe, Cardiff University; Katie Charlton, York University; Ella Harmer, Cardiff University; Matthew Betteridge, Exeter University; Megan Perkins, Cardiff University; Musa Parvin, Birmingham University; Rebecca Law, Birmingham University; Shaban Nadeem, Cardiff University and Tom Graham, Oxford University.

Clarke Willmott LLP is a national law firm with seven offices across the country, including Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
