On Friday Claims Consortium Group held the first of its bi-annual charity days at the firm’s office in Culmhead – and smashed the team’s fundraising record by raising a massive £2,570!
The money will be going to local charity SAV (Stand Against Violence) and Insurance United Against Dementia, as well as the Northampton Hope Centre.
SAV had a stand at the event which was a great opportunity for staff to find out more about the charity and the incredible work that they do to prevent violence and its long-term consequences.
Insurance United Against Dementia is an industry-wide initiative to raise money to fund vital research in to dementia. On the 23 August a team from Claims Consortium will be tackling the Three Peaks Challenge in just 24 hours to raise more funds for this charity.
The Northampton Hope Centre is the chosen charity of the Group’s Northampton office and tackles poverty and homelessness in the area.
Lots of fun was had on the day – it was festival-themed and the glitter was flying! There was a barbecue, bake-off competition, a petless pet show, tug of war, ‘sponsor a bucket’, costume competition and much more!
The second of the 2019 days will be near Christmas and staff are hoping to raise even more money for their chosen causes.
