Following weeks of deliberation, the finalists for the annual Taunton Deane Business Awards have been announced – and include several Somerset Chamber members.
The shortlisted finalists in the ten categories will now be invited to present to a panel of judges and make their case for why they should win an award.
“The quality of the applications is incredibly high this year and some awards have been fiercely close and, although we say it every year, it genuinely has never been harder to judge than this year,” said event organiser, Pam Knight, of White Knight Marketing.
She added: “We are lucky to have a large panel of judges who give up their time to do this and so many have said it was very hard this year. It is why we always have at least three judges view each application.
“The awards are fortunate enough to have very strong support and sponsorship from local businesses. These businesses really see the benefits that recognising success in the Deane can bring to the area.
“The awards are again supported by Taunton Chamber of Commerce, Somerset Web Services and Tone FM. PKF Francis Clark and Somerset West and Taunton Council have once again been the main event sponsors, for which we are very grateful.”
Among the shortlisted Somerset Chamber members are: Start-up Business of the Year – Praestantia Technology, Taunton Doctors, Somerset Executive Travel; Best Marketing Campaign and Community Engagement Award – Genius PR and Events; Family Business of the Year Award – Jobseekers Recruitment Services; Digital Innovator of the Year – Bridgwater and Taunton College, 360 SW Ltd; Best Employer of the Year – Chase Consulting, Jobseekers Recruitment Services; Taunton Deane Business of the Year – Bridgwater and Taunton College.
The awards ceremony will take place at Somerset County Cricket Ground on the 27th June.
