Chamber members Berry & Escott Engineering of Bridgwater recently threw themselves into the Tough Mudder South West Challenge on the Badminton Estate and conquered it!
As part of their ongoing commitment to helping colleague Dan Kunc and his partner Nicky raise funds to buy a Fetal & Maternal monitor for the neonatal ward at Musgrove Park Hospital, the team joined their C&S Fitness friends and others at the starting line for this grueling challenge.
After several hours of pulling together on the energy sapping mud, water & obstacle courses, the 14 strong Berry & Escott team hit the finishing line undefeated.
Of the late August event, Berry & Escott director Chris Escott had this to say:
“We knew what we were facing as we’ve taken on Tough Mudder before. It’s never easy to complete, but it really helps drive you on when you know that you’re doing it for a worthy cause, and more importantly, a colleague. I’m so proud of our team and how we support each other with initiatives like this.”
With a target of £6,000 Dan and Nicky are well on their way to achieving their goal with around a third already pledged on the back of this event. If any Chamber members want to make a donation to this very worthy cause, they can do so by visiting the couple’s JustGiving page at:
