Business encouraged to register on Agratas supply chain

Local businesses are being invited to register on the supply chain for Britain’s biggest battery cell manufacturing facility which is being built at the Gravity Enterprise Zone, near Bridgwater.

Agratas, Tata’s global battery business, will be developing the site and is now inviting expressions of interest from businesses interested in supply chain opportunities.

Construction of the facility on the Gravity Enterprise Zone site in Puriton, near Bridgwater, is expected to start this summer.

Businesses are being encouraged to complete an online form to register their interest. The information will then be passed on to Agratas’s primary tier 1 contractor for consideration as the project progresses.

Anyone completing the form will be advised when the contractor has been selected.

The facility itself will create up to 4,000 high-skilled green tech jobs in the area, with thousands more expected to be created in the UK supply chain.

The registration form can be found here: Agratas supply chain.
