Daniel Abbott, the Managing Director of Somerset Executive Travel, will be stepping out with his daughter Lily – while even the family Cockapoo Koko will be putting her best paw forward – to raise money for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
The trio will be taking part in the 5K Muddy Dog Challenge at Powderham Castle, Exeter, this Saturday (April 13) in aid of the charity. Their aim is to raise £250 and have already secured pledges of more than £112.
Dan said: “We have our T-Shirts and Koko has her dog bandanna so we’re almost ready to take on the challenge.
“We are animal lovers and want to raise some money for what we think is a worthy cause, especially for those potentially once-loved pets who are now having to live their life in Battersea.
“Koko has had a very lucky start to her life but there are so many that don’t, it’s a fact of life, unfortunately, but with your donations we can make a little difference.”
