Battens Solicitors expands Private Client team while charitable trust supports the arts

Battens Solicitors has welcomed Adam Hillier (pictured) to its Private Client team. This new appointment comes at a time of increased demand for private client services, such as writing of wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Adam joins Battens as a Senior Associate Solicitor with 13 years of experience specialising in wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the administration of estates.

Adam completed his Law degree at the College of Law in Guildford and has now worked in the Dorset and Somerset area since qualifying in 2007.

“I am absolutely delighted to have joined Battens, such a well-respected and leading firm in the South West. I look forward to providing expert legal advice to our clients in a friendly and approachable manner and as a part of this fantastic Private Client Team,” said Adam.

Naomi Dyer, Head of Private Client at Battens Solicitors, said:  “We are pleased to welcome Adam to Battens. His experience and knowledge will enhance our private client team, delivering our high quality standard of service to our existing and new clients.”

Meanwhile, The Battens Charitable Trust is continuing to support performing arts charity, Dorchester Arts, with a £4,500 donation.

A spokesman for Dorchester Arts said: “The continuation of Battens Charitable Trust’s funding is a generous and far-sighted gesture in these difficult times for the arts. The support will enable us to move towards reopening next year in the strongest way possible, and we are very grateful!”

The Battens Charitable Trust was set up in 1985 to enable grants to be made to registered charities and for charitable purposes in Somerset, Dorset and adjoining counties.

Ray Edwards, Director at Battens Solicitors and Trustee of the Battens Charitable Trust said: “Supporting local charities and the community has never been more important. We are delighted to be able to make a donation to Dorchester Arts through this difficult period.”
