Albert Goodman employee crowned “Xero Community Hero”

Leading South West accountancy firm, Albert Goodman, announces the prestigious accreditation of one of its Junior Managers as a “Xero Community Hero” – one of only ten in the world.

Tom Hawes, a Junior Manager at Albert Goodman, has been advising clients on the Xero Cloud Accounting software since 2011, when he was fully trained on the new software. As one of only ten global “Xero Community Heroes”, Tom is the only expert within the region – supporting Albert Goodman in being at the forefront of the industry. The award recognises Tom as one of the most active advisors in helping small businesses solve problems using Xero online accounting software, and highlights his commitment to passing on his skills and knowledge to benefit other staff, clients and the local community.

Brittany Hoare, Lead Community Manager for Xero, says, “Tom’s commitment to the Xero community must be recognised – he is one of the top community contributors over the last few years and has made a huge difference to so many people, through his expert advice and valuable contributions to our audience. We truly appreciate all the time and effort he has put into making the community such a helpful space.”

Tom’s recognition will be displayed on his personal Xero Advisor Directory and shared across the Xero community. Tom comments, “Being active in the Xero community is a great way to stay on top of all the new features Xero roll out, learn what problems other people are having and sharing solutions to those issues. This constant learning means I am able to respond to our clients’ queries with fast and effective answers. To get a pat-on-the-back from the worldwide Xero team for my involvement is a great feeling and I look forward to sharing my knowledge to help Albert Goodman and our clients make the best use out of Xero and the cloud in the future.”

Managing Partner at Albert Goodman, Richard Bugler, adds, “We are incredibly proud of Tom’s achievement and would like to extend our congratulations to him. Albert Goodman is committed to providing the highest quality service to our clients, across the South West, and this showcases our leading authority within the region, as well as within the UK.”

Earlier this year, Albert Goodman launched its new online accounting platform, AG Connex – a dedicated portal helping small and medium sized businesses to find the best online accounting solutions, from trusted suppliers including Xero, Quickbooks and Sage One, and has since been accredited with Platinum Xero status.

With offices across the region, including Taunton, Chard, Yeovil, Burnham-on-Sea, Bridgwater, Weston-super-Mare, Weymouth and Wedmore, Albert Goodman prides itself in providing high quality accountancy, tax and financial planning advice to private individuals and small to medium sized enterprises, offering a comprehensive service to local and national clients.
