bibic, the Somerset based charity, has launched it’s Christmas Appeal to raise vital funds to help change the lives of children and young people with disabilities and developmental difficulties.
As part of this year’s appeal, bibic is delighted to introduce Oliver, who has designed the Christmas card for 2018. Oliver used to go to school kicking and screaming, he would come home, eyes wide with fear after suffering panic attacks. Oliver sought comfort from his mum Laetitia, but she was unable to cuddle him as he couldn’t bear to be touched.
Oliver had seen a number of professionals, but they had made very little difference. Then, just after Oliver’s 14th birthday, Laetitia found out about bibic. During his assessment, Oliver was receptive for the first time in his life, an amazing experience for his family.
‘Oliver is so happy since receiving bibic’s expert help. He’s like a different child. I can’t believe it. All my wishes are starting to come true and that is such a relief. For the first time we are excited about the future’ Laetitia, Oliver’s mum.
A donation of £52 can provide an hour of specialist life changing support to a child like Oliver who have spent their life unable to interact with those around them – but even a small donation can help change lives.
For families with children who suffer from disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy or Autism, Christmas isn’t always an enjoyable occasion, however you can bring joy to a family by making a donation to bibic this Christmas.
To donate today, visit www.bibic.org.uk, call 01458 253344 or post donations to: bibic, Old Kelways, Somerton Road, Langport, Somerset, TA109SJ.
