Now in its 13th year, the Somerset Business Awards attract a wide variety of entrants from all sectors within the Somerset business community. This year’s Awards ceremony will be held on Friday 20 October 2017 at Wellsprings Leisure Centre in Taunton – where over 400 guests will come together to celebrate the outstanding business in Somerset.
The Awards officially opened for entries on 1 June 2017 and will close on Monday 21 August 2017 at midday.
With 14 different categories, from Business of the Year, to Skills for Growth, there is plenty to choose from, plus two brand new awards for 2017 – Investing in Somerset and Technology & Innovation.
Barry Tottle, Director and Designer at Teapot Creative, comments on the Awards process as an entrant and now sponsor, saying, “As a business, we didn’t win our Award until our third attempt, but this didn’t deter us! Each year was an important learning process and progressively our entry got better and better. It’s a great process for a business to go through and the benefits, even if you don’t win, are endless. We now sponsor the New Business of the Year Award, and are looking forward to being on the other side and meeting lots of new businesses!”
With not much time left to enter, prospective entrants are being urged to submit their applications before the deadline (21 August 2017), in order to be in with a chance of winning a prestigious Somerset Business Award at the glittering black-tie event in October. A true highlight of the Somerset business calendar, the Awards evening is highly anticipated and not an event to be missed!
