There’s still time to enter the Somerset Business Awards

With just over three weeks to go until the deadline for entries to the Somerset Business Awards, the judges are calling on Somerset companies to finalise and submit their entries before it’s too late.

Officially closing at midday on Friday 31st August 2018, the Somerset Business Awards annually recognise and celebrate outstanding businesses and individuals across the region. The Awards attract entries from businesses of all shapes and sizes across the county, and each year, the judges see a rise in the standard, quality and innovation shown throughout the applications.

Loren Gray, Events Manager at the Somerset Chamber of Commerce – organisers of the Awards – comments, “The Somerset Business Awards annually receive an impressive number of entries and we’re always delighted with the number of new businesses entering, as well as those who want to retain their crown. The strength of the Awards is further endorsed by the vast number of finalists who have gone on to grow their business as a result of entering, being shortlisted or winning an award.”

The Somerset Business Awards are free to enter for all Somerset based businesses and businesses should nominate themselves. This year, a new award has been introduced – “Creative Marketing & PR Campaign of the Year” judged by communications specialists, ADPR, and we see the return of 2017’s new Award, “Investing in Somerset” judged by Hinkley Point C, EDF Energy’s new nuclear reactor.

Judging will take place between the 3rd – 21st September, and the process culminates with a spectacular black-tie ceremony taking place on Friday 19th October 2018 at Wellsprings Leisure Centre in Taunton – where more than 400 VIP guests will celebrate outstanding businesses in Somerset. This year, the Awards will be hosted by Somerset cricket all-rounder and cult hero, Peter Trego – another new addition for 2018.
