The Somerset Education Business Partnership is looking for Award sponsors!

The Somerset Education Business Partnership (EBP) is inviting members to sponsor the very first Somerset EBP Awards, to be held on 24 April 2019.

The Somerset EBP Awards celebrate businesses, schools, colleges, training providers, third sector projects and inspirational individuals across the county who have raised aspirations and helped to develop a future local workforce.

The Somerset EBP is a new project aiming to increase collaboration between employers and education providers in Somerset – to help businesses meet their skills needs and to support young people develop employment skills. As part of this, the project is passionate about equality in opportunity. Somerset’s offer to disadvantaged and/or vulnerable young persons has seen remarkable innovation and growth over recent years with schemes such as supported internships at EDF Energy’s Hinkley Point C (in partnership with Somerset County Council) and the Special School ‘Pop-Up’ Shop Initiative. As such, the awards will feature two ‘Pathways to Employment’ awards – one for vulnerable and/or SEND learners, and the other for professionals whom support disadvantaged and/or vulnerable people into employment.

Sponsoring the Somerset EBP Awards 2019 provides a great opportunity to raise your company profile, show your commitment to improving careers education and could also provide you with a platform for promoting a new product or service. With 150-200 people expected to attend, the EBP are seeking a headline sponsor, drinks reception sponsor, and sponsors for each of the 10 award categories.
