A group of French international exchange students from Strode College visited the Somerset Chamber of Commerce on Thursday 7th December as part of their HE Business course.
Accompanied by 2 staff and Adrian Ash from Strode College, the group presented in groups to Alistair Tudor (Head of Chamber Services) and Sam Evans (Hinkley Supply Chain Engagement Manager). Their presentations focused on Tourism and Agriculture in Somerset and Energy provision including renewables across the region.
The group have spent 2 weeks studying at Strode College and visiting businesses across Somerset including Glastonbury Tor and Wyke Farms as well as visiting the Hinkley Point C site.
Alistair commented “The standard of presentations was excellent, with a strong understanding of the strengths and issues affecting the region. When you bear in mind all the students presented in their second language it was even more impressive!”
