Following the success of the 2016 Somerset 5 Peaks charity challenge, the Somerset Young Professionals (SYP) board is pleased to announce its latest fundraiser challenge.
The Somerset Cider Stomp is a 30km hike from Wellington to Ilminster on Saturday 19th May starting at Sheppy’s Cider Farm and ending at Perry’s, two of Somerset’s iconic brands. Travelling across varied terrain and challenging paths, the group will walk for around 8 hours, few rest stops included.
Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance is our chosen charity and a Chamber member. They are established to provide relief from sickness and injury for the people of Dorset and Somerset, by the provision of an air ambulance. They received no direct funding from Government and rely on the generosity of the public for support.
With operational costs of over £2 million a year and an average cost of £2,500 per mission we hope you can help us support this fantastic charity and thank you for any donations.
SYP is a networking group run by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce for professionals in their 20’s ad 30’s. With a broad range of educational, entertaining and fundraising activities, it’s a great way for young business people to expand their network and develop relationships.
