Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards 2023 finalists announced

The Somerset Education Business Partnership, in association with Barclays, has announced this year’s finalists for The Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards 2023. 

The finalists cover 10 categories highlighting personal contributions from across the education and business sectors along with team awards for careers inspiration and individual awards celebrating the efforts of young people.

In its fourth year, the judging panel were impressed by the record number of high-quality submissions received which demonstrate the ongoing dedication of employers, educators and young people to developing Somerset’s future workforce. 

Andrew Hanson, Somerset EBP Manager, said: ‘’The quality and quantity of this year’s awards entries presented the judges with many difficult choices. The finalists selected have all gone the extra mile to grow Somerset’s talent and foster a prosperous and inclusive Somerset economy.”

Nick Porter, Business Banking Regional Manager, Somerset and Lead for Barclays Rebuilding Thriving Local Economies in Taunton Deane, said: “Barclays is delighted for the second year to be involved in the Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards.

“These enable local businesses and education providers to showcase their outstanding work helping young people in Somerset access local employment opportunities.  The exceptional work in this area is vital not only for the regional economy but the future business success of Somerset.  We wish all finalists the best of luck.”

Finalists have a few weeks to wait before the winners are revealed at the awards ceremony, which takes place at Taunton Rugby Football Club on Thursday, July 6, 2023.
