Miles Phillips host GDPR for Charities workshop

On Friday 23 February Somerset Chamber of Commerce hosted a free GDPR workshop with Miles Phillips for charity members.  With 17 charity organisations within the membership it was a great opportunity for them to discuss the unique impact the new regulations will have on them as well as get some practical tips on how to prepare for the 25th May 2018.

Marsha Miles who ran the workshop commented “For those working in fundraising, we sense that there are anxieties within the charitable sector about the forthcoming GDPR.  It is important for charities to be able to voice concerns about how to ensure their organisation is ready.  Jane Phillips and I have used the training with Somerset Chamber to simplify the jargon and to help people to access toolkits and self-assessments from the ICO and Fundraising Regulator which are designed to help charities implement the requirements.  If you would like to receive a free copy of our training, please email us via our website at www.milesphillipsconsulting.co.uk

Feedback from delegates was excellent with Lynda Williams of Bibic saying how content was clear and concise with useful direction and Cameron Merry of Selworthy School commenting not just on the information in the workshop but what a good opportunity it was to meet other charities.
