John and Jane Nagle at Hornsbury Mill, near Chard, were the lucky recipients of the last hamper to be delivered to the winner of our QES prize draw in 2020.
Everyone who completed the Q4 Quarterly Economic Survey at the end of last year was automatically entered into a prize draw to win a hamper of Somerset produce.
Jane said: “We would like to say a heart-felt thank you for the lovely QES hamper we received on Christmas Eve from the Somerset Chamber. It was such a surprise and so uplifting after a pretty tough year.
“The contents were very high quality and a true celebration of Somerset and everything local. Sad to say only the hamper itself is left . . the contents are all gone!”
Hornsbury Mill is an established 4* hotel and restaurant providing a beautiful setting for weddings and functions.
Converted from an early 19th Century Somerset corn mill, the oldest part of the existing building dates back to 1835. Careful and sympathetic conversion and refurbishment means that many of the original elements of the old mill remain making it a fascinating venue, full of charm and character.
The next QES – Q1 of 2021 – launches on February 15. More information can be be found here.
