Get some top tips from newly announced awards panel at SBA 2019 event

Are my plans for expansion more important than my investment in staff training? I’ve only been in business six months, is it worth me entering? So, what makes an outstanding achievement?

If you’re thinking about entering the Somerset Business Awards 2019, these are just some of the questions our expert panel will be able to help you with at our popular Somerset Business Awards: The Benefits of Entering event at the Holiday Inn, Taunton, on 4 July.

The aim of the event is to help the county’s businesses improve their chances of submitting a potentially award-winning entry in the 2019 awards.

But while we can’t guarantee your success, attending this event will give you the chance to hear, first-hand, from a former winner and find out what the judges are really looking for.

The panel includes:

  • Jon Beake, Wessex Reserve Forces & Cadets Association – sponsor of the Private and Public Collaboration Award
  • Mike Cahill, Albert Goodman – main sponsor and sponsor of the Family Business Award
  • Lizzie Ginbey, Teapot Creative – sponsor of the New Business Award
  • Loren Gray, Somerset Chamber of Commerce – Events Manager

The event will also include some top-tips from past winners C&D South West and their advice for putting forward a winning entry.

The Somerset Business Awards are a county-wide awards ceremony organised by the Somerset Chamber, which celebrate the best of Somerset businesses.

The awards recognise business achievements in 14 different categories. Entry is free and all businesses are encouraged to apply, including non-members.

Booking is essential for the event, which will take place from 12 noon to 2.30pm. More details are available here: . Bookings close on Tuesday, 2 July.
