Exciting partnership to boost high-growth businesses launched in Somerset

BUSINESS support organisations Inspire and Somerset Chamber of Commerce are joining forces to deliver even more support for high-growth businesses across the region as part of a partnership which will include access to the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business programme.

Inspire has already been running successfully across the border in Wiltshire, spearheaded by Wessex Chambers. That knowledge will now be brought to Somerset businesses thanks to the tie-in with Somerset Chamber of Commerce.

Inspire is aimed specifically at ambitious businesses which are keen to grow and expand and is designed to break down barriers to growth, share best practice and provide one-to-one bespoke support, advice and networking opportunities with like-minded companies.

The service includes access to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business programme which provides 100 hours of fully funded support to growing businesses. Participating members of the new service also enjoy all the benefits of Chamber membership with the addition of these additional support services, including a dedicated Business Advisor at a discounted cost compared to buying the services separately.

Rob Perks, Inspire’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to be joining with Somerset Chamber of Commerce, who are the leading business organisation in Somerset, offering valuable complementary services to our own. We are excited about working together to offer a really world class service to Somerset’s growing businesses.”

Stephen Henagulph, Somerset Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive, said: “I have been extremely impressed with the Inspire programme’s positive impact on growing businesses in Wiltshire and am excited to be able to offer this ambitious service to our members in Somerset. We already provide a broad range of business help and support and this will enable us to target bespoke advice to growing companies.”

The new service will be launched at a free event on 16 May at Haynes Motor Museum, in Sparkford, near Yeovil, where the whole range of support available to businesses will be explained. Booking is essential and places can be reserved online at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/inspire-launch-in-somerset-tickets-57775013621 or by contacting Somerset Chamber of Commerce on 01823 444924.
