Fruit pomace experts A & R House (BCL) Ltd, of Purn House Farm, Bleadon, were the winners of the Chamber’s prize draw to win a hamper packed-full of Somerset goodies.
Jenn Chidley-Sanders, the Chamber’s Member Engagement and Policy Manager, presented the hamper to Alistair House at the family farm.
A & R House was chosen at random from more than 150 entries to win the hamper, which included Somerset-produced cheese, chocolate, biscuits, cider and gin. All Somerset businesses which completed the British Chambers of Commerce QES survey through the Somerset Chamber were automatically entered in to the prize draw.
Alistair’s family has farmed at Purn House Farm for over one hundred years, but since 2012 has focused more on the specialised drying and cleaning of fruit pomace.
