Truespeed Broadband Survey iPad presented to lucky winner

The winner of the iPad from the Somerset Chamber of Commerce broadband survey was presented with their prize today by sponsors Truespeed.

James O’Sullivan, of O’Sullivans Chartered Accountants, completed the survey which aimed to highlight the demand for broadband across the region.  James noted that as an accountant he was increasingly reliant on a reliable and fast connection as more services moved to online platforms.

Jez Allman, Director of Sales commented: “It was great to present James with his iPad and hear how vital connectivity is to his business which often relies on cloud-based services to deliver time critical projects. His experience reinforces the survey findings on the pressures Somerset businesses are struggling with and further supports our ambition to move the county out of the digital slow lane into the ultrafast era.”

Alistair Tudor, Operations Manager of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, said: “The broadband survey really highlighted the need to maintain and improve our digital infrastructure to ensure the Somerset business community are able to trade and compete with the rest of the country.

“It’s clear that we have some areas of the county which have very poor provision, with businesses working on 4G and satellite connections, but it’s critical that we look to the future needs of the region as well as addressing the needs of those without broadband currently.

“We’re very grateful for Truespeed’s support and will look forward to future collaborations to support our members and the wider business community.”
