On Friday, 29 March, Stephen Henagulph, Chief Executive of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, officially opened the Somerset Skills & Learning Head Office, Courtenay House in Taunton. The event was attended by local businesses, students and staff.
Stephen Henagulph, who cut the ribbon, said: “It was a great honour to be invited to officially open the offices of Somerset Skills & Learning and to welcome them as neighbours in their new home on Blackbrook Business Park. The facilities are fantastic for students and staff and it was tremendous to hear about how the SS&L team supports learners and businesses across the county of Somerset.”
Susie Simon-Norris, Chief Executive of SS&L, commented: “We are excited to be able to offer a modern, purpose built training centre with the latest technology to our learners. SS&L delivers a wide range of education services to young people and adults across Somerset and we are committed to changing people’s lives for the better through learning. Our new centre will help towards this goal.”
Courtenay House reflects the growing demand for Somerset Skills and Learning’s training services from both employers and individuals, boasting six training rooms, accessibility and plenty of parking. SS&L also hires their rooms out for other organisations to use.
One of the benefits of SS&L’s multi-centre organisation is the ability to offer their services across Somerset, in a smaller, more personal environment than a traditional college setting.
