Somerset Chamber announce plans to open second office to cover the North of the region

Somerset Chamber of Commerce have announced ambitious plans to open a second office in Somerset, offering further support to businesses across the county.

From their Taunton based HQ, CEO Stephen Henagulph today revealed that the Chamber have developed a Somerset North office covering Highbridge, Weston and the Mendip area of the county.

Stephen commented “Since joining the Chamber as CEO in September last year I’ve been piling miles onto my classic 1996 Range Rover – it’s green and has nice brown leather seats you know – going to events and visiting businesses all over the county. It makes sound economic and environmental sense to reduce our carbon footprint by announcing the development of our North Somerset office.

“Over the coming months we’ll be engaging the local supply chain, utilising the superb construction contacts we have, to renovate the Castle Rock Battery on Flat Holm.  We’re already stockpiling tins of beans and drawing straws to find out which of the team will cover the first 6-month deployment to answer the phones.”
