About us:
We are a plant nutrient manufacturing company in the horticulture sector based in Taunton. We have been operating since 1985 creating our own nutrients and ensuring the highest quality for our customers. At Growth Technology we have just over 50 employees ranging from sales, marketing, finance, chemist, warehouse & production staff, and all areas of administration.
We are keen to recruit an HR Co-Ordinator to cover maternity leave with generalist experience to join our friendly team. As an HR practitioner you will know the attributes required and certainly possess the ability to deal with people on every level.
Ideally you will have experience of HR, be CIPD Level 3 qualified or above, however we are more interested in your passion about Growth Technology being a happy, secure, great place to work! Being confident to build relationships with all members of the team.
Based at our premises at Great Western Way, Taunton TA2 6BX (Ample parking)
Hours of work can be 3 or 4 days per week 09:00-17:00
What you will be doing
Overseeing recruitment selection and the onboarding process ensure that the company attracts the best candidates for open vacancies.
Making offers of employment including issuing contracts of employment and new starter documents.
Processing leavers, ensuring the correct documentation is completed.
Managing the review system and assisting Managers.
Ensuring that the company’s procedures comply with employment regulations.
Annual leave and absence management – ensuring annual leave and absences are booked correctly and that employees are planning their leave to support business operations.
Supporting staff on a range of employment issues.
Ensuring all employee date and records are up to date in our HR system.
Assist with all internal and external HR related enquiries or requests.
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practice.
Pro-actively maintain and improve the HR processes and policies including the Company Handbook.

Maintaining accurate training records, arranging external training courses, and managing renewals.
Person Specification:
You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and should enjoy social interaction.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalise ideas
Skills to guide, support and motivate staff
A solid understanding of the key principles of employment law
Solid ethics and morals and sound judgement
Guiding management on employee relations and performance management
Experienced MS Office suite
Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
A customer-focused outlook with a high level of discretion and professionalism
The ability to work well with team members and management
Cultural awareness and excellent interpersonal skills
Good Organisational skills
Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
