Somerset HR Professionals Forum - March 2026

Somerset Chamber of Commerce is inviting members and non-members to attend our specialist forum, exclusively for HR and workforce development leaders.

The way in which we work, recruit and aim retain talent in our businesses continues to evolve as employers look at a variety of ways to stay competitive. Many businesses are introducing workplace benefits and initiatives to respond to employee feedback, and recruiting in different ways. Alongside this, employment law is evolving with the introduction of the new Employment Rights Bill.

We are gathering leaders of in-house HR departments at Yeovil College to discuss key challenges and opportunities ahead for HR professionals in our region.

This roundtable is specifically for those who lead in-house HR teams – HR managers and HR directors, decision makers on behalf of businesses in our region. Talent, learning and workforce development leaders are also welcome to attend. Attendance criteria applies (see below)*.

Chaired by Emma Warren, Managing Director at Elite Staffing Solutions, Chair of the Somerset Chamber board of directors and Chair of the Somerset Work, Health and Skills Steering Group, the purpose of this event is to build connections with like-minded HR professionals from a variety of businesses, share your business challenges, discuss any common growing pains and speak openly on issues affecting your business and seek solutions from other delegates. All discussions will be held in full confidence.

There will be opportunities to network both before and after the discussions, however, this is not just a networking event. It’s an opportunity to share best practice and find solutions.

*Please ensure you review the eligibility criteria listed in the terms and conditions below before booking.*

Refreshments will be provided. Please inform us when booking if you have any dietary requirements or allergies.

Bookings for this event will close 4pm on Tuesday 24 February 2026. Please note refunds cannot be made in the event of cancellation after bookings have closed.

With thanks to our event sponsor Porter Dodson.

Somerset Chamber looks forward to welcoming HR professionals to the forum.
