 Higos
offer a dedicated, personal service which continues beyond the
sale of a policy. Their staff are trained to manage all
aspects of your policy, from renewal (reviewing the policy to
ensure it still meets your needs) to claims (working on your
behalf to ensure they are settled quickly and fairly).
The company is split into dedicated teams, each specialising
in a particular area of the insurance market. For shops and
restaurants, service companies and engineering firms, they
have a team to help; they even have an underwriting team who
provide products to other brokers.

have one of the highest levels of qualified staff in the
broker market with over 75% of the workforce having gained or
working towards industry recognised qualifications.

Brief Company Resume
Established in 1990 by Ian Gosden, Higos
Insurance Services has grown to become one of the largest
independent insurance
intermediaries in the UK.
Originally based in Glastonbury, the company soon outgrew
their original offices and moved to purpose built offices
in Wells in 1995, opening a second office in 2001. They
now have offices in Wells, Glastonbury, Somerton and
Chipping Sodbury, and
are looking to open two more this year.
They have a strong local presence with a dedicated and
enthusiastic workforce. They currently employ over 130
people, making them one of the largest employers in the
region.
 Higos in Somerset
Higos is an active company when it comes to
getting involved in the local community and raising money
for charity. Over the past three years they have donated
approximately £20,000 to various worthy causes, including
Bristol Children's Hospital, Children’s Hospice South
West, and St Margaret's Somerset Hospice.
They are committed to encouraging local sporting talent
through sponsorship and support, and are the official
sponsors of Somerton FC Under Twelve's team, the Somerset
Under Twelve's County Rugby Championships tournament and
the Hewish and Langport Youth Cricket Club. |
