Somerset Young Entrepreneurs Fund - A pilot loan
scheme which focuses on 18-30 year olds in Somerset
looking to start their own business. The scheme has been
developed jointly by Somerset County Council; the Prince's
Trust and Wessex Reinvestment Trust, with additional
support from the Macintosh Foundation.
It offers loans of up to £4,000 to young people who have a
good business idea, but, who have been declined a loan
from a commercial lender due to the lack of a track record
or insufficient guarantees .The scheme builds on existing
Princes Trust programmes, and brings young entrepreneurs
into the mainstream business support programmes.
